ATLANTA, GA – Today, Americans for Prosperity State PAC (AFP State PAC) announced its endorsement of Mike Dudgeon (SD-27) and Will Wade (SD-51) for election to the Georgia Senate. Statewide primaries will be held on May 19, 2026.
AFP State PAC senior advisor Tony West released the following statement:
“Georgians deserve to be represented by individuals who are passionate about making the lives of all Georgians better. Both of these candidates will put our principles into action, championing limited government, economic freedom, and other policies that empower Georgia families. Their records show they will not simply support good policies but also lead the efforts to pass them into law. We look forward to mobilizing our grassroots network to back them.”
Background:
Mike Dudgeon (SD-27)
Mike Dudgeon will likely be a strong leader on healthcare and education issues. As a former member of the Georgia House of Representatives, he sponsored Right to Try legislation and championed market-driven healthcare solutions like expanding access to direct primary care. Dudgeon has been a vocal advocate of expanding school choice, and he currently chairs the State Charter Schools Commission. He also showed a willingness to stand up to his own party when bad tax policy was put forward.
Will Wade (SD-51)
Wade is a strong leader on key issues such as healthcare, education, and taxes. A current member of the Georgia House of Representatives, he supports expanding scope of practice and opposes ACA subsidies and Certificate of Need. Wade also has been a loud advocate for school choice and letting families choose the best education options for their children. Wade has consistently supported legislation that lowers the tax burden on Georgia families.
